QUEER HISTORIES PROJECT

Click on the image to submit a story of LGBTQIA2S+ life in Vernon County, WI (or the surrounding areas) for inclusion in the Vernon County Historical Society archives. This project welcomes stories from LGBTQIA2S+ folx of all identities, allies who have witnessed the social dynamics of queerness in this rural setting, and anyone who has a story to tell of LGBTQIA2S+ folx from the past.

In addition to enriching the museum's historical records, we will compile selected stories into formats easily accessible to the public (with participant permission). We hope to uplift queer voices in a way that promotes greater visibility, compassion, and understanding for our community. Thank you for sharing; we hear you.
